Silly Faces

Ariana was noting the fact that her cheeks hold a lot of food one night. We happened to be having meatballs and spaghetti. She went under the table and came up looking like this.........Ariana: "Mom, do my two big front teeth stick out like a chipmunk?"

Me: Giggling...."Yeah, I like the silly eyes, too? What is in your cheeks?"

Ariana: "I have a whole meatball in each side. Do I look like a chipmunk?"

Um.......Yeah!!

Crazy Kidz

The week before Christmas vacation is always fun at the kid's school. This time they had a series of "fun" days. These pics come from "crazy hair day". Even Ryan supported the school spirit with a head full of piggies. I wish I had gotten a picture of him when they all came out. FRIZZ!! Ariana wanted to be "upside down". This was the best I could come up with. Notice the french braid starts at the bottom and goes up. And yes......I made her stand on her head to do her 'do'.

Holly went as "Pippy Longstocking". Mom made my hair this way one year for Halloween. So, I followed in her footsteps with Holly's beautiful locks. Everyone at school called her "Cindy-Lou-Who". She was more than happy about it. You can tell by the grin. FYI-She is holding up the handmade ink-stamp she carved in class that day. It says: "YLLOH" when you stamp it. So cute.

The DRIVEWAY!!

This last week I have been oscillating between loving and hating my driveway. If I could vote to keep or lose it...I don't know what I'd pick. Right now it is a thick layer of ice frosted with snow.

When I need to get out.......I hate it. Timothy spent four hours on Monday trying to get a car out with little luck. He had sore muscles from shoveling/sanding and bleeding fingers from the van's chains when he came in. He wound up riding the bus to work this week.

But then the kids get all bundled up and head up the hill and all my disdain washes away. The kids are in "no-school" heaven.

What's your vote?

The big CUT!

We finally cut Ariana's hair to give to Locks of Love. She did this two years ago, just before school started. So we were a little later this year, but someone will get three beautiful ponytails of long blonde hair. Here she is before..................................

She gave 14" of hair. The ruler is 12" long.

Last time we did this, I brought it back into only one ponytail. That wasted a good two inches in the front that could have been donated. We did three ponytails this time to make the length more even all around.

Look how happy she is to have short hair. She has been waiting for this day for a long time.

My Dad sent this video to me in an email and I could not believe my eyes! This is a man in Bangladesh who is a brick hauler. Nope........he doesn't use a wheelbarrow. Make sure your sound is on so you can hear how heavy these bricks are. Check it out!
